When I See The Blood

Exodus 12:12-13

...And when I see the blood,

I will pass over you; and the plague shall
not be on you to destroy you Verse
13.

400 years
the Israelites were slaves in Egypt
God sent Moses to set them free.
Pharaoh refused.Gods warnings .
Judgment fell.

Satan holds the world in bondage

God offers freedom to those who desire

The Lamb Represented Christ, Our Substitute

John 1:29..."Behold! The Lamb of God

who takes away the sin of the world!
1 Peter 1:19-20 ...the precious blood of Christ,
as of
a lamb without blemish and without spot.
1 Corinthians 5:7,... For indeed Christ,
our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

The Sacrificial Lamb

A lamb was slain for each family
The lamb had to be perfect
The lambs blood must be shed
The body must be roasted in fire
The people must eat in haste
The blood must be applied

Jesus, The Lamb of God

Inspected for four days in temple
Pilate said, ...I find no fault in Him.
John 19 :4
He died. His blood was shed
He suffered the flames of hell
Justice was carried out. Debt paid!

The Curse of the First Born

Gods final Judgment in Egypt fell on
the first born male, human and animal
Old Testament pictures of God curse
on the first birth

Gods blessing is on second birth

The curse was on the first born son
Cain and Abel, sons of Adam
Ishmael and Isaac, sons of Abraham
Esau and Jacob, sons of Isaac
Mannasseh and Ephraim, sons of
Joseph
You must be born again

Second birth is a spiritual birth

John 3:6-7 That which is born of the
flesh is flesh, and that which is
born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you,
'You must be born again.
Believing in Christ brings a new birth

Salvation requires action

The lambs blood must be applied
to the lintels and the door posts
with Hyssop bushes, Used to make soap
The lamb was roasted and eaten in haste
The judgment of God was near
Preparation was required

The Angel of Death Comes

Angel of death didnt look for religious
people, evil sinners, rich or poor
He did not look for church members
The angel searched for the blood
Ex 12:13 And when I see the blood,
I will pass over you;

You must heed the word of God

If no lamb was slain and no
blood was applied there was death
Jesus, the Lamb of God has been
slain. His blood has been shed
By faith accept His cleansing blood

The New Birth

When we appear before God
We will not be asked about religion
or good deeds, or moral living
God is looking for the blood of Jesus
that has taken away our sin.
Accept Him today as your Savior
