1. Read your copies of the article. Everyone has a different level of the
text (based on SRI scores), but they all say essentially the same thing.
2. As a group, identify the text structure and the authors purpose
and create a one-pager to present this information. You must:
- Explain how you knew the text structure.
Example: The text structure of the article on monkeys and the spread of malaria
was cause and effect. We know this because the author presents several causes of
malaria, such as the clear-cutting of forests, and then presents the effects, which
include an increase in malaria-related deaths.
