Their Cause
MADD (a.k.a Mothers Against Drunk Drive) is an
organization dedicated on stopping drinking and
driving. They are a non-profit organization dedicated
on educating people on the dangers of drinking and
driving. Most of the people there have lost a family
member who were killed in an accident related to
Drunk Driving.

Whats on their Website

MADD isnt just another boring website with statistics
that shows what they done over years. They are
dedicated on stopping drunk driving, people post
important news stories and important experience on
a blog.

Their Progress
The group was born in 1980, as the graph from
before explained. Drunk driving has been
lowered ever since the group existed. Its been
a really big problem in the beginning years but it
showed that progress has been done to stop
this. As of 2014 the number of reported car
accidents is 9,967

Blood Alcohol Concentration

Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) or (g/dL) is the level of alcohol in
the body. The effect is usually measured in .02 and goes up all the
way to .15. It is recommended that you dont drink and drive at all
but even if you do, to drive below the BAC of .08. The scale at the
level of .02 usually gives to effect to the person drinking of
relaxation, loss of judgment, slight body warmth and altered mood.
The effects worsen all the way up to .15 which includes less
muscle control, vomiting, and loss of balance.

Their Campaign
MADD usually supports people who prevent others from
drinking and driving. They also support people who
discourage drinking and driving. They mostly support the
use of Ignition Interlock which is device use to see if a
person is drunk. The car that its being used on wont start
even if the users BAC is below .08. MADD also cooperated
for the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety
(DADSS) development which is a device used in cars that
is similar to the Ignition Interlock right now its final form is
unknown but its speculated to be a touch pad that is able
to read a person's BAC level. We know that it wont let a
person drive if their BAC level is/over .08
