Tense change
In general, the present
form in direct speech
changes to the past form
in reported speech:

have/has had
will would
can could
want/like/know/go etc.
wanted/liked/knew/wen

The past simple can stay
the same or you can
change it to the past
perfect (had done / had
seen / had known etc.)

In reporting commands and requests, the
Indirect Speech is introduced by some
verb expressing command or request, and
the imperative mood is changed into the
Infinitive.
He told me, wait for me !
He told me to wait for him.

She told me not to cheat anymore.
