Today, the Islamic World comprises some 45 independent Are located in the continent of Africa, 12 in the Middle East, 8 in the South and Southeast and one, the Republic of Turkey, in Southeastern Europe. In addition to these predominality Muslim countries, there are millions od Muslims who live as minorities in the other part of the world. Today, it is estimated that the total population in the world is placed at 1,000 millions; 750 millions reside in Muslim majority areas and 250 millions in non-Muslim states. Roughly 90 millions make their living in china, 70 millions in India, 30 millions in the USSR and 60 millions are found in the different parts of the world.
