Abstract Conceptualisation |
(Concluding / learning from the experience)Concrete experience - a new experience of situation is encountered, or a
reinterpretation of existing experience.
Reflective observations of the new experience that are of particular
importance due to any inconsistencies between experience and
understanding.
Abstract conceptualization- Reflection gives rise to a new idea, or a
modification of an existing abstract concept.
Active experimentation- the learner applies them to the world around
them to see what results.ys- These learners view situations from many perspectives and
rely heavily upon brainstorming and generation of ideas.
Assimilators - These learners use inductive reasoning and have the ability
to create theoretical models. Ideas and concepts are more important than
people. These learners require good clear explanation rather than practical
opportunity.
Conyergers- These leamers rely heavily on hypothetical-deductive
reasoning. Learners with a converging learning style can solve problems
and will use their learning to find solutions to practical issues.
Accommodators - These learners carry out plans and experiments and
adapt to immediate circumstance. They rely on intuition rather than logic.
These people use other people's analysis, and prefer to take a practical,
experiential approach. |
