The OMP must be debugged using the

Prerequisite
Boot parameters and examples

Parameter Example

IP address of the OMP 192.168.X.1(X stands for the office ID)

IP address of OMC server 192.168.X.129(X stands for the office ID)

MAC address of the OMP 00.208.208.161.00.X(X stands for the office ID)

Office ID 1
Debugging the OMP Board
1. Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications
> HyperTerminal.
2. Input new connection name and then click OK button.

3. Select serial port and then click OK button.

4. Click on Restore Defaults button and then click OK button.

5. Press any key from keyboard to stop auto-boot when the
HyperTerminal window appears.

6. Enter password 3gplat to login.

7. Enter 1 for configuring MP parameters.

8. Enter 1 for configuring OMP IP address, Mac address.

9. Enter 2 to configure OMC IP address, and login to FTP server
to get version files from OMC server.

10. Enter OMP boot file name: ompcfgX.ini (X stands for ID of
the managed element where OMP is located).

11. Enter 3 to select OMP boot type and then enter 0 to boot
OMP from OMC.

12. Enter 4 and then enter 1 to set bureau number similar to
office ID.

13. Enter 5 and then enter 0 to start auto-boot.

14. The OMP board will download version files and


then auto-boot.
