I have chosen to use this image on my front cover as I like the dark
colours used in the image that contrast with the background.
Another feature of this image I like is the guitar and microphone
the artists are holding as this connotes with music and the guitar is
usually represented with the rock genre and I want to make it as
clear as possible that it is a rock magazine. Furthermore, I like the
use of direct eye contact and facial expressions that really stand
out in this image.

This is my second image choice, however using
Photoshop I will crop out the 4th person as she
wasnt in the main image on my front cover.
I will use this image on my contents oage as I like
this image as it is at a different angle to my main
image on the front cover, showing more of the
guitar. Also, I like how each artist is making direct
eye contact with the camera as I feel that this is
important so the image connects with the reader.
Moreover, the artists look the exact same as on
the front cover therefore it will be easier for
people to connect the anchorage on this photo
with the main cover line on the cover page.

I might also use this image on my contents

page or double page spread as this is my
favourite image I took because the use of a
close up image is very powerful. I like this
image because the model is again making
direct eye contact to connect with the reader
and the serious facial expression relates to
the rock genre, this carries out the stereotype
connoted with rock fans/artists. The dark
clothing with the dark lip makeup also shows
the stereotype of the rock genre.

Again with this image I will cut out the 4th person so the image matches
the previous 2 images. I will use this image on my double page spread
because I like the serious facial expressions used as I think this shows
the seriousness and importance with the article. Also, it draws you in to
the article to persuade you to read it. Furthermore, I think that this
image will contrast well with the brick background that I am planning to
use on my double page spread, therefore the image will stand out
clearly.
