Monopoly power can be controlled through several ways
including, price control and prohibiting mergers.

Governments syndications to secure the interest of


consumers.

Direct syndications through price capping, yardstick


competition and keeping the development of monopoly
power in control.

Regulators can inspect the quality of the service


delivered by the monopoly.
