and Conduct Academic misconduct includes: Cheating an attempt to use or provide unauthorized assistance on any academic exercise. This includes submitting substantial portions of the same academic work for credit more than once without the instructors permission. Fabrication falsifying or inventing information or data Plagiarism any ideas or materials taken from another source must be fully acknowledged. Note: It does not matter if the plagiarism occurs on a draft or the graded version of an assignment both are considered plagiarism. Interference stealing, changing, destroying or impeding another students work Violation of course rules violation of rules established by a department, course syllabus, verbal or written instructions or relevant course materials Facilitating academic misconduct intentionally or knowingly helping or attempting to help another student commit academic misconduct Lying or providing information known to be false to a University official (for example, providing false information or fabricated documentation regarding course absences) is also considered misconduct.
