Comparative adjective digunakan untuk membandingkan
perbedaan antara dua benda.

Untuk membandingkan dua object dibagi menjadi dua

jenis ; yang setara dan tidak setara.
Membandingkan dua object yang setara Biasanya
menggunakan as

Contoh :
She is as old as her sister.
He is not as stupid as he looks!

Pada penggunaan as.as, bentuk adjective tidak berubah.

Membandingkan dua object yang tidak setara biasnya
menggnakan than

Contoh :

This computer is more expensive than

that one.
She is stronger than my brother.
Berbeda dengan penggunaan as.as , penggunaan than
yang mengalami perubahan bentuk adjective
bergantung pada jumlah suku kata/syllable.
Untuk adjective dengan 1 suku kata : ditambah akhiran -er
pada adjective

contoh:
She is stronger than my brother.
It is colder today than it was yesterday.
Untuk adjective 2 suku kata yang berakhiran -y:
ubah akhiran -y menjadi -ier

contoh:

This grammar topic is easier than most others. (easy)

Untuk adjective lain dengan 2 suku kata: gunakan
more + adjective tanpa akhiran -er

contoh:

Their shop is more crowded than yours.

Untuk adjective dengan 3 suku kata atau lebih: gunakan
more + adjective tanpa akhiran -er

contoh:

This computer is more expensive than that one.
