Began in 2003 to replace the Early English Books Online (EEBO)

Its a collections 17th century ballads

The catalogue includes ballad sheet facsimiles, facsimile transcriptions, text


transcriptions , and recordings

It has archived collections which are held in the National Library of Scotland,
Edinburgh, the British Library, and the Houghton Library at Harvard

Their purpose as a foundation is to archive all of the existing English Broadside


Ballads, said to be about 12,000 (so far theyre about of the way there)

Has a modern flare and a Twitter site
