OKTOBERFEST
In October 1810, Prince Ludwig wed
Princess Therese von Sachsen-
Hildburghausen and held a big party
for it. It was so popular, that it took
place again the following year. This
then began the world famous
German tradition of Oktoberfest.

Oktoberfest is often compared to a

state fair or carnival, having horse
races, food, merry go rounds, and
entertainment. Beer is also a big
factor during this holiday.
