What is discrimination

In human social affairs, discrimination is

treatment or consideration of, or making a
distinction in favor of or against, a person or
thing based on the group, class, or category to
which the person or thing is perceived to
belong rather than on individual attributes.
This includes treatment of an individual or
group, based on their actual or perceived
membership in a certain group or social
category, "in a way that is worse than the way
people are usually treated".[1] It involves the
group's initial reaction or interaction going on
to influence the individual's actual behavior
towards the group leader or the group,
restricting members of one group from
opportunities or privileges that are available to
another group, leading to the exclusion of the
individual or entities based on logical or
irrational decision making.[2]
How does it affect us in the workplace?
A survey of more than 500 Mexican professionals showed that not only
do 65% of them consider that the use of tattoos, piercings and piercings
generates labor discrimination, but this extends to striking colors in the
hair or dreadlocks (57%), Sexual orientation (54%), disability (48%) and
clothing (47%).

An example of how it affects us in the workplace is the following:

"Multinational. Leader in interior design. We think of a professional with
commercial experience, high level of English and availability to travel. Good
presence. "

This leads to a high degree of psychological wear and tear. That "good presence is
required" is, for those who suffer it frequently, a total rejection of the physical
appearance that companies use covertly although from the other side is intuited
as a mere requirement to occupy a job.
How does it affect society?
