Common Core Regional Learning Standards


in Mathematics Framework was developed
based on those essential and pressing
demands of mathematical competency for
the 21th century based on the analysis od
national curriculum in SEAMEO countries.

1)
Key Stage 1
4 contents.
Foundation of knowledge covering the basic fact and skills.
Hands-on activities, CPA (concrete pictorial abstract).
Interest, enjoyment, curiosity.

Key Stage 2
Builds from the competencies acquired from the stage 1.
Extension of 4 contents.
Deepening of their experience in their life.
Mathematical terminologies, investigate, analyzing, evaluating, creating. (Blooms
taxonomy- HOTS)
Key Stage 3
Higher cognitive.
Deal with abstract ideas and concept.
Critical and creative thinking.
Participate in discussion, dialogue, arguments, economic,
technological, political, environmental and mathematical issue.
Further mathematics learning.
2)Mathematical thinking can be developed
through problem solving activities in real life.
Skills: generalization, specialization,
extension, integration, logical reasoning,
abstracting, concretizing, embodiment of
idea, making appropriate representation.
3)The process of mathematical activity :
problem solving can be done through various
strategies and models.
Student-centered learning.
4)Particular context such as scientific exploration
and social economical entrepreneurship.
Use ICT :
Demands for using data and making decision.
Getting predictions and proof by reasoning.
Learning and critic idea, produce reasonable
idea.

Objective: Shaping of human characters to
meet demand of technological and
