What is NAIDOC Week?
The week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of
Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islander peoples

NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia each July.

The week is celebrated not just in the Indigenous communities,


but also in increasing numbers of schools, local councils and
workplaces.
When did NAIDOC Week first begin?

As far back as the 1920s
