Introduction

The cellular system


was created to meet the demand for mobile
communication . within a limited radiofrequency
spectrum. This limitation is the original factor that
motivated and continues to motivate the development of
the mobile phone, compared to other factors such as the
battery life or the size of the device. The system must
accommodate thousands of users within a reduced
spectrum to transmit more and more information. Voice
transmission, but currently also the demand for images,
videos and internet access, continue to increase the
system requirements.
On April 3, 1973,16 Martn Cooper, director of
Motorola, made the first call from a mobile
telephone of the DynaTAC 8000X project from a
street in New York.17 precisely to his biggest rival in
the telephony sector: Bell's Joel Engel Labs from AT
& T.
The DynaTAC 8000X is officially unveiled in 1984,
the year it was first marketed. The phone weighed
about 1 kg
Use
Mobile phones are used for a variety of purposes, such as
maintaining contact with family members, conducting
business, and in order to access a telephone in the
event of an emergency. Some people carry more than
one mobile phone for different purposes, such as for
commercial and personal use.
