Introduction

Background
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is a community hospital
where infrastructure and human resource costs are funded by
government, while other costs such as medical equipment and devices
must be covered by hospital. To assist in covering these costs, the
hospital receives money from the donors. Donors can donate through
various channels which includes direct mail, current campaign, general,
partners, PH, planned giving, Royal Victoria Health Foundation, tributes
and memorials.
Purpose
The purpose of this project will be to analyze the donors data from a
cross-channel perspective to provide insights and recommendations
that will help RVH foundation to attract more donors and improve its
relationship with existing donors. For instance, the analysis will provide
the trend of particular channel which will help RVH to understand the
flow of donation and where to concentrate more to increase donation
from the channel.

Project Objectives
The following are the project objectives are to determine:
the main platforms through which RVH is receiving gifts from the
donors.
the types of donors making these donations (Individual, Corporations,
Etc.)
the geographic areas from where the donations are received.
the possibilities of having donation from same donor in different
channels.
Scope Statement
In Scope:
Work primarily with the data provided by RVH.
Provide a snapshot of the donations received from the donors through various channels,
including donations per event and by donor type as well as location.
Provide insights and recommendations of cross channel data to further assist with donor
attraction and retention.
Suggest recommendations for increasing the donations which could support future expenses of
RVH Hospital.

Out of Scope:
This project is a snapshot of RVH cross channel donors data and not an overview of the entire
donor data.
Detailed analysis of geographical areas and retention outside of the Barrie area will not be
provided.
