CPTT ( COMPROTware is an integrated test tool for transmission protocols
of telecontrol system.

CPTT simulates Master or Slave station of a telecontrol system.

For simulation and monitoring a License is required.

The protocol specific Licenses are stored in Dongle.

Insert the USB dongle to Laptop and click on COMPROTware CPTT

Protocol Profiles
Go to Edit and click on Protocol Profile to select required protocol to be tested.
Select the protocol family IEC 60870-5 amongst different options given.
Select the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol to be tested for project amongst different
options given.
 COM2

Do the setting for Physical Layer with serial line base protocol.
 Select Transmission procedure
Unbalanced ( polling )

Put the Link address configured in RTU to be tested.

And make other default settings.
Make the settings for Application layer according to
standard and Implementation specific.
SIMULATION
Go to Action and click on Simulate Controlling Station
to simulate the RTU data in CPTT.
Formatting Options
Formatting option menu will appear by right click and
selecting formatting options.
Select the Brief display option and check Time with
date to view data with particular timestamp.
Filter for type indications, cause of transmission and station address through
Formatting options Message filter.
