Day 1 - Cat is high

My project
Activity 1- Story Telling
Man on Moon

I learned how to change scenes when it is needed. It was really confusing to me how to make the scene change back to the
way it is to the beginning, but while looking through the scripts I had a better understanding of each block. Also, I learned
how to broadcast scripts within the animation. The broadcast block was a total confusion to me and while doing this project
it started to make sense and understand what the broadcast block does and how it makes your coding easier, but more
advanced.
Activity 2: Storytelling
Dialogue

In this project I learned how to make characters talk with the wait block. Dialogue between characters was something I
thought was a hard thing to do in scratch, but while looking through the tutorial in the video, it was a lot easier than I
expected. I also learned that the glide block was in scratch. When I was doing my personal project, I wanted my sprite to
move, but not in a way to make it teleport to that movement. After I saw the glide block, and saw what it does, it really
made me relieved that there is a solution to a problem I had.
Activity 3: Storytelling
Rainy Day

In this project, I learned how to program the rainbow sprite to move in a circular direction. While doing the rainbow, I didnt
understand anything the Pen option in the script had. When I saw the person guiding the video using the stamp block, it
didnt make sense to me why he did that cause it was never explained. While continuing the video, I had a good idea that
the stamp block is used to make a sprite move while leaving behind the sprite from the place it moved from. I also learned
how to do randomness. The pick random block really gave me a good understanding about how games with randomness
use this block/code so that it gets more interesting and more surprising. This lets me avoid have to make different sprites
appear and using the clone block
Activity 4 - Storytelling
The victorious Knight

In this project I learned how to fade scenes by making a new block of my own. The fade block added more thought into
ideas for personal projects if I decide to make one of my own. The fade block really taught me a new way of changing
scenes and gave me greater knowledge of scratch capabilities. Instead of learning something else, I improved my coding by
using the broadcast blocks for almost every action. Looking at the broadcast block that was given in the starter project really
opened my mind into using the broadcast blocks. In this screenshot, the broadcast blocks help me avoid using the wait
blocks for the appearance of the bats.
Activity 5- Storytelling
Narrating

In this project, I learned how to make my own block and use it as a function. The function block allowed me to have a sprite
to do 2 things at the same time without having to use a different script. I had to animate the cat talking and put up dialogue
at the same time and it really helped me. I also learned how to use the clone block. Also, the clone block allowed me to use
my time efficiently since I dont have to set up different sprites with the same costume and have a code for each one.
Activity 6- Storytelling
The Penguin Who is Stuck

In this project, I learned how to use the sensing options to help complete this project. The sensing options allowed me to let
the people looking at my project decide on what happens to the sprite. It opened some ideas on the basics to making
games that revolve around decision making. Another thing that I learned is how to make it so the next code within the sprite
will activate until a sprite reaches to a specific location which is when it touches a color. It helped timed the sprite to talk at
the moment it reaches to that color and made the project feel more flowy. The sensing block allowed different choices to be
made
Activity 7- Storytelling
About me
During this project, I learned how to animate words to appear and disappear. This comic word helped me develop my
personal narrative
Scratch Card
My scratch explains how to make sprites appear and disappear. I chose to do this
scratch card because it can help people understand how to make things seem
more appealing when things had to appear and not just on the side waiting to
come in. Also, it can open up some ideas like doing a magic show by making
things disappear or have something come out of the side without being seen.
Some challenges could be like thinking something will appear when it disappears
that the end, but you would need a show block in the beginning to make it
reappear.
How does digital literacy connect to animation?
Digital literacy is connected to animation. In digital literacy, we are learning things
through the internet. Also, when doing things online, you are leaving behind
something that could resemble you forever. Just like animation, we are learning
while teaching and the creativity that we have when having an idea for an
animation could resemble your inner thoughts and make a tattoo to yourself that
others can see.

Character remix
Group members- Asha, Shayan, Ryan

Character- Jimmy Neutron

Interesting discovery- Baby Jimmy Neutron has a large forehead and a large
head. Jimmy Neutron was aired at July 20 2002, one month after I was born.
Activity 8
The Pineapple 2000

In this project, I learned how to use the backpack to input the firework codes into
my project. This will help me on future projects if I want to use the same code of
another project and analyze how this code would work.
Animation Hw#1
How does this code work? I now know what this does

When the monster statement is set onto say blocks, that means the 1st string
input of the show feeling block would be the monster saying something. The 2nd
string input is monster feelings. Since the monster feelings is set to the variable
block, that means all of the variable blocks with the feeling option on it would be
activated. Finally, the 3rd string input is the sound. That means when the sound
inputted to the play sound block, any sound of the 3rd string input would be played
Activity 1- Animation
In this project, I learned about how the define block works. The define block allows
the code to happen at the same time. In this case, The monster would say
WAAA and then the feeling would also be broadcasted at the same time
because its in the same block. The third part of the block would play a sound so it
would go with what the monster says, how he feels, and a sound is played at the
same time. This will save a lot of time.
First Paper Animation
Next time I will try to add more pictures
to make this more smoother and i will
try to go to a location where the lighting
of the background wont change.
Also,Ill try to make more complex
movements with my creature.
Second Paper Animation
The animation is suppose to first part
show the dragon that spins 2
times, but I had too many
photos so I split it into 2
animations. I will try to
increase the field of vision so
that part of the pictures dont second part
get cut off
Third Paper animation
This is suppose to be him swimming
around making lots of curves, but I
made it go too far making it go off the
screen and i was forced to use less
images.
The Super Ultra Mega Neon Turbo Combo Challenge

A game that I worked on with Rayan that involves playing different types of mini
games. During the creation of this project, I learned how to use the data block and
I found out new things you can use with the interaction section.
