7 Famous Spies

1: George Makov
George Makov was a very famous Bulgarian writer. In 1978 he
was assassinated by Russian spies.

How did he get assassinated? He was killed with a poison filled umbrella tip while
crossing the street in London.

2: MATA HARI
Mata Hari was a German spy.
Mata Hari was a professional dancer who became a spy for France during
World War I. Suspected of being a double agent, she was executed in 1917.
3: ALEXANDER LITVINENKO
Alexander was a journalist in Russia.
He went to a meeting one day and before he got there people covered his
chair with poison so when he sat down it would enter his body. Doctors found
rare poison in his body.

Lots of people believe that the President of Russia was behind all of this.

The Russians wanted to assassinate him because he was writing bad


information about their President.
4: THE ROSENBERGS

The Rosenberg's were a married couple and died June 19, 1953.

Unfortunately, both were executed from the electric chair.


However, they shouldnt have been killed because they were both framed and not
guilty.
5: ALDRICH AMES
He was an American supposed to be spying on the Russians, but instead he
ended up giving the Russians top secret American information.

He was arrested when he was 31 and to this day he is still in jail.


6: Eddie Chapman
Eddie was a criminal, then turned into a German spy, then worked as a British
double agent. His codename was zigzag because he was an explosive
expert.

He was a spy until he retired at the age a 76.


7: Richard Sorge

He was a Russian spy in the 1940. He found important information that


Germany and Japan had, and when he shared it with the Russians he was
executed by the Japan Government.
