Who were the Vikings?


They came from three countries
Scandinavia:Norway, Denmark and
Sweden.
They lived in period:AD 700-1000 and
travelled almost all over the world.
People who went off raiding in ships were
said to be 'going Viking.
The name 'Viking' comes from a language
called 'Old Norse' and means 'a pirate
raid'.
Where did Vikings

They sailed from Scandinavia to
Britain and Irleand.

England in AD 787.

After they travelled to
