MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
Knowledge of the machine and the process
Operation sequences and consequences
Protection and interlock of the
system/equipments
Maintaining the shift the log book
Safety of the man and machine
Maintain the MIS documents , tripping and break
down analysis and history,
Change over schedule and trial run of the
emergency equipments
MAINTENANCE CONTROL

Knowledge of the machine and the process


Preventive maintenance schedule
Daily maintenance
Spare parts maintaining
Preparedness for break down and shut down
Lubrication schedule
Annual maintenance
CBM - bearing temp , vibration trend and analysis
Testing oil (transformer, turbine , Critical gear box etc)
Thickness measurement Boiler tube, any area subject to
wear tear
REGULATORY CONTROL

Pollution : Flue gas spm, SOx, NOx


Effluents from N Pit water: pH, temp, oil, ss
Air at surroundings:
Noise level at surroundings
Cooling Tower: pH, Temp, SS, Cl, Oil
Annual inspection by electrical inspector (State)
Annual inspection by Chief Boiler Inspector (State)
Water withdrawal and cess with State Gov
Connectivity with grid and PPA with SEB
Electricity generation and cess with SEB
Fuel (coal) linkage with CIL
Ash disposal and utilisation
Clearance from factory inspector
Factory / company /labour/establishment related certificates
IMPROVEMENT CONTROL

Implementation of IMS/TPM/WCM system


Failure analysis with different techniques and
preventive action
Operating data analysis and identify the
differences between manual/PAT data
Energy Management: Auxiliary power reduction,
heat rate improvement, reduction in water
consumption,
Monitoring the efficiency and losses of Boiler,
turbine and its auxiliaries
Training to the O&M personnel
