A tort is a civil wrong
act subject to action
The best example of a
tort, perhaps, is
negligence (i.e. carelessly
causing injury to a person
or damage to property)
PURPOSE
The purpose of tort law is
to decide if anyone is at
fault, determine the extent
of injury and provide a
remedy such as ordering
the wrong doer to pay a
monetary compensation to
the injured person
SITUATION
Tort of negligence :- This means
everyone must take reasonable
care to avoid causing injury people
or their priority.
Tort of nuisance :- This tort
happens when someone
unreasonably interferes with or
dispute the use and enjoyment of
your property
Tort of defamation :- This happens
when someone deliberately or
negligently makes a false
statement about someone which
lowers or injures his reputation in
the community.
False advertising :- This happens
when an unavailable product is
advertised for sale or use.
Fraud :- This committed with to
deceive, if a consumer gives a
stolen credit card number on the
internet, that consumer would be
liable for committing a fraud.
Misrepresentation :- This happens
when a salesman does not
disclose the weakness or side
effect of the product.
