The song is about a man who walks alone

because he's missing something
indispensable for his life. The singer refers
to someone he still loves and he has already
lost, which he regrets. Through the song I
can understand that this guy is looking for
something that nobody can help him to find,
which makes him so sad. That's why he talks
about a desolated place, that makes him feel
so frustrated since he is not able to find
such a longing.
Criticism
The main character of the song feels very lonely and says
that he doesn't know other roads or ways, because he's
always been on the boulevard of broken dreams. That's a
road where only frustration and disappointment can be
found, and that's why he feels like everything and everyone
is against him. He also feels so confused and the only thing
that can save him is love, the love that he hasn't found yet.
So he's waiting for someone who can motivate him to get
out of his loneliness. His situation seems tragic and
dramatic to me because I think that loneliness is good
sometimes, and we can work hard and reach our dreams
ourselves. We not necessarily need someone to motivate us.
I respect his point of view, but I think we should use that
loneliness to reorganize our goals and make some changes in
our lives instead of getting so sad and feel like there are
not more opportunities or options for us.
