subtraction situations in order to solve problems. The student is expected to:
(C) explain the strategies used to solve problems involving adding and subtracting within 10 using spoken words, concrete and
pictorial models, and number sentences.

Activity Description:
- Teachers will explain addition (+) , subtraction (-) and equal (=) symbols
- Short video
- Teachers will give examples of 1 digit addition and subtraction problems
- Students will complete activity with manipulatives (beans)
