The Trajan
Column
was made
of Carraran
marble.
The column is engraved with many stories of the past and very detailed, it is meant to
signify the epic wars between the Romans and the Dacians. It was most
likely supervised by Apollodorus of Damascus, it was constructed from marble

I believe that the column is meant to signify the victory

Of Roman emperor Trajan's victory in the Dacien wars
I personally believe that the artist/architect who made this was conceptually successful, I believe this
because the artist used many scenes of the war and put them in with many details.
