Applicability OF The Act [S.

1] :

This Act Extends To Whole Of India ;

This Act Applies To The Payment Of Wages

To An Employed Person
Any Factory;
Employed In Industrial Or Other
Establishments Specified;
 In Various States ,This Act Has Been Extended To
Shops & Establishments Also ;

The Appropriate Government May Apply The

Provisions Of This Act To The Person Employed In
Any Establishments Or Class Of Establishments By
Giving 3 Months Notice ;

Wage Period Do Not Exceed Rs.6500 P.M .

 Industrial Or Other Establishments [S-2(2)]
Means Any,

Tramway Service Or Motor Transport Service

Engaged In Carrying Passengers Or Goods
Or Both By Road For Hire Or Reward;
Dock , Wharf Or Jetty,
Inland Vessel ,Mechanically Propelled;
 Establishments In Which Any Work Relating
To The Construction ,Development Etc.

It Does Not Include :

Service Relating To , (1) Military (2) Air Force
(3) Civil Aviation Development Of India .
