DEFINITION:

Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura is an acute or chronic bleeding

disorder in which the immune system destroys platelets,which are necessary for
normal blood clotting.Persons with the disease have too few platelets in the
blood.
 NURSING MANAGEMENT
NURSING DIAGNOSIS
1.Risk for injury related to bleeding due to thrombocytopenia.

2.Risk for ineffective protection related to alrered kinesthetic perception

3.Risk for infection related to suppressed immune system
4.Risk for disturbed sensory perception related to episodes of bleeding.
5..Fluid volume deficit related to excessive bleeding,and diminished platelat counts.
