RULE 2 – BE RESPECTFUL
1. Refrain from using abusive language.
2. Listen (don’t speak) while others are speaking.
3. No chewing of gum; eating or drinking during class hours.
4. Address teachers and peers with courtesy.
5. No personal grooming in class.
6. No cellular phones or other electronic devices are allowed.
7. Do not touch, kick or tap another student. Do not throw
things.
Stay in your seat unless permission is given for you to be
up.
Do not raise your hand to ask to throw away trash, go to
the bathroom, or any other reason to be up.
Do not disturb other students. This includes talking,
touching, throwing things and any other disturbance.
Listen closely to all directions and to any students who are
giving an answer.
Follow all classroom rules at all times.
Follow all school rules at all times.
Do not make fun of another student’s answer.

USE A LOW VOICE WHEN REQUIRED.
WHEN WORKING IN A GROUP …

1. You must complete each group activity.


2. Play your role in the group.
3. You have the right to ask anyone else in your group for help.
4. You have the duty to assist anyone who asks for help.
5. Help other group members without doing their work for them.
6. Everybody helps (this includes cleaning and packing).
7. If no one in the group can help, decide a single group question to
ask the teacher.
WHEN THE BELL RINGS …

1. DON’T PANIC.
2. LISTEN TO INSTRUCTIONS QUIETLY.

Line up quickly on the outside facing the staircase.
Move as a group toward the big tree on the field.
Stay with the group and look out for everyone.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY …

4. LOCK DOWN/CODE RED


Listen quickly and carefully.
Remain quiet with windows and doors closed.
Hit the light switch.
Think about something pleasant or read.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY …

5. IF SOMEONE FALLS ILL


Don’t panic – there is no need to scream.
Someone stay with the person.
Someone take the Health Office Pass – get the nurse.
Someone else call a teacher next door.
Everyone else be responsible and help in whatever way
you can inside the room.
PENALTIES

* 1st offense – warning and documentation


* 2nd offense – contact parent/guardian
* 3rd offense – disciplinary referral
While you work
