About Sunny Days Nursing Facility
Sunny Days Skilled Nursing Facility provides high quality health
care services. Our staff members are experienced, dedicated,
and caring ensuring that the needs of families and residents are
met. Our well-appointed facility is located in San Francisco,
California, and offers a warm and supportive environment for
short term and long term residents. Each of our experienced
occupational therapist and occupational therapy assistants will
be providing therapy services to 8-10 residents per day.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Requirements
Occupational Therapist (OT):
1 year of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
State registration and license
Master’s degree or equivalent
CPR/First Aid certified

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA):


1 year of clinical experience as an occupational therapy assistant
State registration and license
Associate degree
CPR/First Aid certified

Collaboration Process
The supervising OT and OTA will collaborate to develop a supervision
plan that addresses the needs of the OTA.
Multiple meetings will be lead by the supervising OT to address the
delegation of duties for the OTA, as well as the frequency of supervision.
After the plan is developed, both the supervising OT and OTA meet to
finalize the supervision plan.
Revision Plan
Circumstances that would require the supervising OT to revise or adjust
the supervision plan may include but are not limited to:
If the needs of the clients or OT process is complex or has changed.
If the OTA is not comfortable carrying out current OT services.
If caseloads rise and more challenging diagnosis emerge.
If the OTA fails to display competency in providing OT services.
If new protocols or regulations are established by the facility (e.g. safety
regulations)
