IELTS DEFINITION

• IELTS is reliable measurement of English proficiency and it has two test formats
based on the candidate needs. IELTS itself stands for International English
Testing Systems which is used asses the language ability for candidates who
want to study, migrate, and work where English is used to communicate
(Cambridge University Press & UCLES, 2016). The type of English in IELTS
would be British, Australian, or New Zealand English. There are two formats of
the test:Academic and General Training.
