• Prime Minister: He will be thinking about

how to obtain the money needed to rebuild

and to keep the relief centres open and
stocked. Christchurch is the current home
of his beloved sister that he could also be
worried about. He may need to gather
money to future quake proof the city.
Bob Parker: He would be worrying about his
family and how he can help the district
council restore and fund for Christchurch.
• He needs to think about how to give
Christchurch clean water and how to
supply food to the towns people.
• School Principals: Making sure that their
school is safe and that there is nothing
that can harm the students when they
return. Also making sure the school is fully
operational with all the resources such as
power and contact with others.
• Search And Rescue: Finding volunteers
to help with the search to find any
missing members of the community
and city. Getting the right equipment
that they need to save life's.
• Shop owners: They will be trying to
restore their shops and protect them
from looters that will steal all of the
valuable stock that the shop owners
have brought themselves.
• Hospital CEO’s: Thinking about how to
acquire the staff that might have been
injured by the earthquake so that less
people will lose their lives needlessly
and how to hold the hospital up if it
was damaged in the quake so that
surrounding citizens aren't threatened
by the building falling over through an
after shock.
• Parents: Worrying about how they are
going to inspect their homes for damage
that the house could have obtained during
the earthquake. Finding the money to
quake proof their home. Keeping their
children out of danger zones like ruptured
sewer pipes and crumbling buildings.
• School students: Making sure they don’t
take anything from shops ( becoming a
looter ) and keeping themselves out of
trouble, settling in well when they finally
get back to school.
• Police: Trying to stop looters taking
advantage of run down shops affected
by the earthquake. Also putting up
tapes in all unsafe areas of the city and
assisting search and rescue.
• Civil Defence Minister: Bolting down
structures so that they don’t fall onto other
buildings/structures. They would also be
busy organising safe buildings and shelter
for the now homeless people.
• Demolition People: Destroy all unsafe safe
buildings and don’t let it fall onto other
‘safe’ buildings possibly causing a domino
effect.
• Pilots: They will be wondering if the airport has
sustained any damaged during the earthquake
and thinking if they should take the risk of
landing on the runway because it could have
deep crevasses in the concrete.
