 Coherent Detection Vs Non-Coherent Detection

 If information of ‘h’ is known the Coherent Detection(CD) is used

with MPSK, MFSK, MASK or QAM

 If information of ‘h’ is unknown the Non Coherent(NCD) with MFSK

or Diffrentially Coherent Detection(DCD) can be used

Conclusion:

 In this work we demonstrate the design along with analysis.

 AS the optimal detector was complex so, two lesser complex
suboptimal detectors were derived. In which we modify the Bessel
function to derive one suboptimal detector and the second one is
derived by using heuristic
approach.
 For optimal detector Monte Carlo simulations were used to estimate
its SER and PDF and SER of other two suboptimal detectors were
derived.
