I used multiple different pieces of media technology to help me
throughout the construction and research stage of my music video project. One effective media technology I used was blogger which I was able to use to easily and effectively post my research and findings of different artists, albums, theories and music videos, which all help me to advance my knowledge of music videos and how they work, which helped me to produce good quality research which I was able to use and apply to my own work. Another media technology I used was YouTube which I used when I was researching different music videos that were the same genre as my own, so I could use them to compare to my vision of what I wanted my video to look like to see if it would suit its genre. What I learned from this is that most of the time the artist is lip-syncing into the camera and usually looks directly at the camera. During the production stage I used a number of different media technologies one being a Cannon camera which was the piece of technology I used the most throughout all stages. I used this camera every filming session and when we used the camera to take pictures for our digipak and poster . As the camera man I was able to use many different functions of the camera to help our group get the most out of our filming sessions, an example is the focusing function, many times I used the focus of the camera to help end a shoot and to make our video suit our genre more. Also, I used Photoshop when making the digipak and poster. I was focused more on the poster, so I used Photoshop to make sure that the logos of Daze’s social media looked clean cut and the poster looked realistic. In the evaluation stage I used PowerPoint to answer this question. Also, I used Soundcloud to explain how our media product used, developed and challenged forms and conventions of real media products. I used a green screen and Cannon camera to answer what we have learned from audience feedback and I used blogger to answer how effective the combination of my music video is with my ancillary tasks.
