On the 100th day of firefight between the Maute Group and
the PNP-AFP, the latter conducted a search and rescue operation in
the city of Marawi. Although the operation was said to be tough and
dangerous, Police Director Ogalesco said in an interview that they
will still be conducting an operation for the following days.
In line to this, the Director also called the attention of
those I.T. companies and schools which study and
program robots to help them with regards to the
operation.

Immaculate Conception Academy was designated to be deployed in an abandoned


building in one of the barangay in Marawi where a survivor was said to be trapped.
The president of the school then informed the robotics teacher to form a team for
the said operation.

And so the mission for SHS students of ICA begin.. .


Make the robot move forward to the direction of the survivor.
Grab the survivor using the claw and raise the arm for 3 seconds.
Turn on touch LED to green as a sign of successful rescue operation.

After the rescue operation in the first room, the robot will move
backward to its starting position, then turn to the next room to
conduct an inspection. The robot will move around the room bumping
all the four walls in random. After the inspection, the touch LED will
display a color violet as a sign of successful operation.
