Introduction

• The F1 in Schools Technology Challenge is a multi-disciplinary

challenge in which teams of students aged from 9-19 deploy
CAD/CAM software to design, test, manufacture and race
miniature Co2 powered foam block F1 cars.

• The F1 in Schools Technology Challenge is the only

multi-disciplinary competition for students aged 10-18.

• It is a unique global platform for Formula 1 and partners to

get close to the youth.

• Teams must raise sponsorship and manage budgets to fund

research, travel and accomodation.

• The challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics,

aerodynamics, design, manufacture, branding, graphics,
sponsorship, marketing, leadership, teamwork and so on and
apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and
exciting way.

• Teams compete regionally to win a place at the National level.

Overall winners go on to represent their countries at
International level.
