South America is the fourth largest continent
on Earth. It spans 6,878,000 square miles of the
Western Hemisphere.

• The largest tropical rainforest in the world.
• More than half the Amazon rainforest is in
Brazil, but it also stretches to Peru,
Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana,
Bolivia, Suriname, and French Guinea
• It’s home to 10% of the World’s known
species
