• In 2007, the Taliban started taking control of her village in
Pakistan. They had very strict religious rules, limits on
women's rights, they killed anyone who didn't follow their
rules.

• In January 2009 the Taliban declared a ban of all education


for females but Malala said "They cannot stop me, I will get
my education if it is in home, school or any other place.”

• She fought for the right for education.

• At that time she was writing a diary named 'Gul Makai' .


•She’s now giving talks to motivate girls to go to school
and also to have government invest in education for
women and children.

•Created the Malala fund = enable girls to complete 12


years of safe education.

•Opened a school for Syrian refugee girls on 15/7/2015
