Product Planning
• Product planning is starts from customer needs.
• First we identify the need of Carburetor. In the product planning
process we have to find out the actual work done by the
carburetor.
• Designers work to the design brief, What are the advantages of
the carburetor, how much time requires for the mixing of air and
fuel, how much is it expected cost ,etc.
 Concept Development

• The teammates decides the concept of carburetor that

how it should work.
• The size of the carburetor should be minimized and it
should work properly.
System level Design
•The Team members puts the idea about basic design ,
sketches (without dimension) of parts that will give idea
about shape and size of carburetor.
•The parameters which are selected for carburetor design are
most significant to satisfy the needs.

 Detailed Design
• The designers prepare a detailed design of each parts
of carburetor with proper dimension.
• Also a 3D model is prepared on the software to
analyze the carburetor.
• In the software they see the assembly of parts, proper
fitment ,motions of parts.
• From the observations they make changes in design.
• The final design will be accepted by leader.
Testing And Refinement:
•A small prototype is created from the detailed design of the
carburetor for testing purpose.
•Carburetor will be tested for various parameters.
•From the results of testing the design is adjusted.

 Actual Production and assembly:

• From the detailed and corrected design the parts of

the carburetor are manufactured.
• The manufactured parts are then assembled to create
the carburetor.
