• The snails reproduce in a different way to almost any other type of

animal, this begins with the design of their reproductive organs, the
snails are considered hermaphroditic.
• This
means that each snail has two reproductive organs; male and
female.
• All snails will mature sexually a year
after birth, the life of most snail
species lasts no more than five or
seven years, and this early age of
reproduction allows a rapid rate of
growth to the species.
• Snails have their reproductive
organs next to their body, near the
top, which facilitates the ability to
mate.
• The snails go through a mating ritual
before they reproduce, usually, a snail
pair will interact an average of two to
twelve hours.
• At the end of this ritual, each couple
fertilizes the eggs in the other. It is
known that a snail can carry up to 100
eggs at a time
• When the eggs are fertilized, they go
through a process of growth inside the
snail that begins with the fertilization
and development of the embryo.
• The snails lay eggs and bury them in
fresh places, the marine snails, place
their eggs next to some solid area, like a
rock, which will allow the eggs to
remain in the same place and develop
without being damaged.
• It will usually take you to the snail
egg for two to four weeks to develop.
As soon as they hatch, they will go
into a survival mode, because their
shells will still be too weak.
• Your reaction is to find the calcium as
soon as they hatch, either by eating
your own egg or the eggs of others
