Tray equipment is rarely economical, except in the
following situations

• A prolonged heating cycle is needed, when the cycle

exceeds 12 to 24 hours.
• Obtaining several different products requires thorough
cleaning of the equipment.
• The amount of material that is going to dry does not
justify the investment of a more expensive continuous
equipment.
