EMULSION TECHNOLOGY

WHAT IS EMULSION ?

Emulsion is a system consisting of two phases of liquid which do not dissolve each other,
where one liquid is dispersed in the form of a globula (dispersed phase) in another liquid
(continuous phase).

In the emulsion manufacturing process, a mixture of two or more chemicals is classified

into the emulsifier and stabilizer. The purpose of adding emulsifiers is to reduce the surface
tension between the two phases (interfacial tension) so as to facilitate the formation of
emulsions.
