MUSCLE TISSUE

INTRODUCTION
• Muscle tissue is a soft tissue that composes muscles in animal
bodies, and given rise to muscles’ ability to contract.

• The body contains three types of muscles tissue:-

a)skeletal muscle
b)smooth muscle
c)cardiac muscle
DISEASE OF MUSCLE TISSUE
 Tendinitis
 Sprains and strains
 Muscle cramps
 Rotator cuff injury
 Muscular dystrophy
WAYS TO CURE THE DISEASES
1) Tendinitis
Pain relievers
Corticosteroid
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
 Eccentric strengthening
Dry needling
Ultrasonic treatment
2) Sprains and strains
Basic self-care measures and a pain reliever
Apply ice to the area

3) Muscle cramps
Stretches
4) Rotator cuff injury
 Injections
 Exercises tailored to the specific location of patient’s
rotator cuff injury
Surgery
 Arthroscopic tendon repair
 Open tendon repair
 Tendon transfer
 Shoulder replacement
5) Muscular dystrophy
Range-of-motion and stretching before exercises
)Exercise
Braces
Mobility aids
Breathing assistance
SUMMARY
 In conclusion, muscle tissue is a soft tissue that
composes muscles in animal and humans bodies, and
given rise to muscles’ ability to contract. They are three
type of muscle tissue such as, skeletal muscle, smooth
muscle, cardiac muscle. Beside that, muscle tissue varies
with function and location in the body. These muscle types
may be activated both through interaction of the central
nervous system as well as by receiving innervation from
peripheral plexus or endocrine( hormonal) activation.
