the drip chamber until it is partially filled and open the hose clamp until the liquid fills the hose and the air inside the hose comes out.

If there is blood in the needle (abbocath / surflo), pull out the inside of the needle while inserting the outer part further into the vein.
14. After the inner needle is removed,
press the upper part of the vein using your fingers so that the blood does not come out. Next connect the abbocath to the infusion hose quickly and carefully. • 15. Remove the tourniquet and soften the patient's fist. Open the clamp and set the speed according to the instructions given.
• 16. Check blood around the stabbing site to
see signs of infiltration.
• 17. If there are no signs of infiltration, cover
the stabbing area with sterile gauze and fix it with tape. • 18. Write down the date and time of installation of the infusion and the size of the needle.
