Stability is a component of many researchers leading to increase in understanding of

the safety qualifying factors. Stability has two factors the Intact stability and the
Damage stability.
Intact Stability is when your vessel is intact or intactness of its hull, while Damage
Stability is when your vessel or vessels compartment is subjected to damage and
flooding.
The researchers proposed for additional stability for a specific cargo vessel by
applying Double-Double Bottom Hull . The researchers proposed that adding
more stability in a specific cargo vessel will improve the vessel, and also reduces
the risks of flooding.
The researchers proposed the Double-Double bottom Hull to increase the
controllability of the ship stability by being able to control the amount of ballast in
the tank, also reduces the free surface effect in case the vessel desired to have a
tank partially filled with water.
In figure 1 the reader will see double bottom hull, and in figure 2 the reader will see
the double-double bottom hull.
In figure 1 the reader will see normal double bottom hull.
In figure 2 the reader will see the proposed double-double bottom hull, without
disturbing the normal capacity of the vessel the researcher proposed by putting
additional transverse compartment will improve the vessels stability , also inorder
to get the vessels desired ballast if partially filled with water.
The figures below will let the readers understand more about the topic ;

condition.
