GERRYMANDERING?
Gerrymandering is the process of manipulating boundaries of an electoral constituency to
favor one party or class.
NORTH CAROLINA AND GERRYMANDERING

In 2010 a Republican majority general assembly took control and drew new voting districts.
Democrats claim that these districts were drawn to undermine minority votes who are
more liking to vote democrat.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THE ELECTION?

North Carolina’s gerrymandering case (Rucho vs. Common Cause) has been taken to the
U.S supreme court. Other states like Maryland have had the same problems with
gerrymandering
