HISTORY OF EINSTEINIUM

Einsteinium was discovered by a team

scientist led by Albert Ghiorso in 1952,
while studying the radioactive debris
produced from the first thermonuclear
explosion.
The element is named after Albert
Einstein.
Appearance and Characteristics
Harmful effects:
 Einsteinium is harmful due to its radioactivity.

Characteristics:
 Einsteiniumis a synthetic, highly radioactive
metal that has only been produced in tiny
amounts.
 It is the first divalent metal in the actinide series.
The purpose of the actual element

Einsteinium is actually useless, without it

the world remains the same. It has no
biological role, except that it’s toxic. It’s
just a research interest. Einsteinium isn’t
found naturally, or in the earth’s crust so
it doesn’t have environmental role.
