Measurement Gaps
A CA UE that is capable of supporting
Gapless Measurements for a given CA
combination, when
camped on PCell (RRC Idle or
Connected Mode), can measure inter-
frequency SCell band
frequencies without any Measurement
Gaps configuration on PCell frequency.
When the SCell is
configured through the RRC
Reconfiguration procedure, the UE can
measure intra-frequency
measurements on both PCell EARFCN
and SCell EARFCN only. For any other
inter-frequency
measurements within the PCell band,
SCell band, or any other bands, the UE
requires Measurement
Gap Configuration.
