Functional Description
• The LTE to WCDMA PS handover function allows data service continuity with minimal interruption time when
changing from an LTE cell to a WCDMA cell. The LTE controls the triggering of the handover and the possible
WCDMA targets. Multi-RAB handover from the LTE to the WCDMA is supported. Both FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE are
supported.

Signaling flow of E-UTRAN to UTRAN PS ISHO procedure

• LTE system can trigger Inter-RAT handover to UTRAN for packet-switched (PS) calls. The RAN2176: LTE PS Handover feature
supports the incoming Inter-RAT PS handover from LTE.
• Inter-system handover of PS services between E-UTRAN and UTRAN is based on the UE-involved SRNS relocation procedure.
